4. If I downloaded an earlier version of the software can I upgrade to the latest version?

The latest version of our online software automatically checks for any minor updates whenever it connects to the internet to download audio. If any newer components are available then the software can automatically update itself.

You can also download the latest software version from our software page.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a difference between a free minor upgrade and a product upgrade.  The minor upgrades allow you to keep the product that you have registered up to date.  A product upgrade allows you to register a new product, subject to any discount conditions that may be effective at the time.

For information on the products that are available please refer to the software page.

7. Is the software compatible with Windows Vista?

The software was originally developed for Windows 98 and Windows XP.  However Microsoft claim that Vista has limited support for VB6 applications, which our software is, so it is possible to install the correct runtime libraries to facilitate this. Please refer to the following page for the statement from Microsoft:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/vbasic/ms788708.aspx

The current versions of the software do function with Windows Vista, however the Vista version of the Windows Media Player ActiveX control has compatibility issues, limiting the audio output.

Future software updates will be developed with the Vista platform (Microsoft .NET Framework versions 2.0 and 3.0) in mind.
